Estate agents win top marks

| Asshetons the oldest established agents in Penge has become the first firm in the local area to be awarded the National Association Estate Agent's (NAEA) mark of excellence. The High Street based firm, has been granted Member Firm status after meeting a number of demanding criteria Director Nicholas Maidment said; "As members of the NAEA we are committed to provide a high standard of service to all our customers, placing a great deal of emphasis on the professional training and development of all our staff. All members of the National Association of Estate Agents abide by a strict code of conduct and Asshetons has also voluntarily signed on the Ombudsman for Estate Agents Scheme. subscribes
to an approved Client Momey Protection Scheme. NAEA is the largest UK
body representing the estate agency profession. Any member who breaks
the code of conduct faces fines and/or expulsion. Chief Executive, Hugh
Dunsmore-Hardy, said "Selling and buying a home is one of the largest
financial and emotional transactions that most individuals will become
involved in and they have a right to expect certain standards of professionalism.
"Members Firms status demonstrates that as a company they are operating
within the guidelines we have established and the customers can expect
an honest, open and high standard of service.
